The runway usage at Madrid can cause trouble to AI traffic, except for users of Prepar3D v4.5 HF2. It also uses a custom mesh for its surrounding, which is important for the feeling and the realism of the scenery since Madrid airport is surrounded by hills that are quite sharp. It uses PBR surfaces and makes an extensive use of the possibilities offered by SODE, such as animated jetways, controlled lighting and SODE animated PBR rain effects.

It comes along with 200 km² of surrounding terrain and includes several Madrid landmarks.

The airport is fully modeled and extremely detailed. Following the round of previews that were sent to FSElite, LatinVFR has released their Madrid Barajas Adolfo Suárez (LEMD) airport scenery.
